Biography

Based in Montreal, Danielle is making a name for herself with her distinctive sensitivity and personal voice as both a teacher and performer of piano. This Israeli-born musician, educator, and novelist received her Master of Music from McGill University under the direction of the lauded Georgian pianist and former prizewinner of the International Tchaikovsky Piano Competition, Marina Mdivani.

Before settling in Quebec, Danielle boasted training with Israel’s top pedagogues—Hanna Shalgi, Emanuel Krasovsky and Vadim Montastirsky. In addition to her Bachelor of Music from the Buchmann Mehta School of Music in Tel Aviv University, Danielle also recieved a teaching certificate accrediting her to instruct piano at the conservatory level. She was a finalist in the Ariana Katz Piano Competition (2008), has performed in masterclasses for International pianists such as Daniel Pollack (USA) and Staffan Scheja (Sweden), and received scholarships annually from both Tel Aviv and McGill Universities.

Her artistic inspiration is, like her native Israel, profoundly multicultural, including everything from classical and choral music to Latin American and Middle Eastern music.
